Brian Draper: Spiritual Intelligence
A friend of mine has written a very help, practical and, dare I say, profoundly challenging. A good one for passing on. (*****)

Thom S. Rainer: Simple Church: Returning to God's Process for Making Disciples
Really enjoying this book. Rainer says some strong stuff about programme- focussed churches. (***)
Adam Phillips: On Kindness
A challenging book to start the year at just £9.99.
Maggi Dawn: Beginnings and Endings (and What Happens in Between): Daily Bible Readings from Advent to Epiphany
I bought this book last year when it first came out to lead me into Advent. I found it incredible useful. it gives a reflective thought for each day of Advent up to January 6th (12th Night). (***)
Sebastian Faulks: Devil May Care (James Bond)
Fun! What I like about it is that it is still set in the 60s during the Cold War, apart from being a cracking good story. Sebastian Faulks is Ian Fleming!
Donald Miller: To Own a Dragon: Reflections on Growing Up Without a Father
From the author of Blue Like Jazz we have some easy on the eyes poignant insights into fatherhood and the fatherless.
