As part of our church's approach to Easter, we are doing The Lent Experience, which is a set of weekly challenges, based on the classic spiritual disciplines of the Church.
But we are also encouraging each other to develop a daily prayer life by using a version of the Daily Examen, a style of prayer that has been used for many centuries across many cultures.
This is a simple aid to help end each day well - and really doesn't take that long to do. It will help you unwind after a busy day and help you to go to sleep relaxed and feeling grateful to God. It will provide you with a precious time of intimacy with the Father.
Why not give it a go tonight? There are just five simple steps to it, which I have given all the same letter to help you remember it. (Forgive me if you hate alliterations!) Maybe let me know how you got on. Would love to hear!
